Stáž JČU na Institut für Soziale Ökologie v Rakousku

Vědci z JČU byli na dvou jednoměsíčních stážích v termínu 7. - 31. 1. a 4. - 28. 2. Výstupem stáží jsou zpracovaní kvalitativních dat ve formě vhodné pro publikaci v odborném periodiku a osnova a první draft zmíněné publikace.

Způsob analýzy kvalitativních dat je popsán v metodické části draftu odborného článku Jitky Strakové "Farmers' strategies to cope with agricultural marginalization: Case study from Volary, Šumava Mountains, Czech Republic":

From the total of 24 registered agricultural land holders in the case study area, 17 farming subjects were questioned, corresponding to 70% of the farmer population. Only farmers managing more than 10 hectares of land were requested to fill the questionnaire. Three of those refused participation in the survey. Farmers managing more than 10 hectares were requested to fill in self-completion questionnaire. It provided mainly quantitative data on hectares of land under certain management, received subsidies, number of employees, etc. The date helped to divide farmers into 4 distinctive groups according the scale and focus of their agricultural business. Semi-structured interview followed later to answer additional question that had been rising from the questionnaire and during interview itself. This survey provided qualitative data on farmers’ perception of current agricultural use, its limits and advantages.
